John fixed up a water line from the tap on the east side of the cabin

through the tack room

to the bathroom. Running water! Cold only, but better than going outside to the toilet in the middle of the night. He also slithered the length of the crawl space under the cabin to thread the tubing along, braving possible rabbits, racoons, skunks, and the dread hantavirus. What a devoted hut-builder.

My only complaint was the rooster wake-up call right outside the window at 4 a.m.
