The photographer for Rebecca's wedding did a quickie shoot of Chris and Niels which is kind of fun. Here's the link to the facebook album.

Writers Group at Greenjacket

We read John's new polygamist murder mystery, set in Rush Valley. People give feedback in the casa verde (above) after dinner. Val makes pancakes on Liz and Al's lawn in the morning (below):

Green Jacket

We went to Green Jacket last night and John helped with the cows for a few hours today while Chris and I did trigonometry and Quicken (for taxes), respectively. I think doctoring the cows was more fun.

Working on the Casa Verde

John fixed up a water line from the tap on the east side of the cabin

through the tack room to the bathroom. Running water! Cold only, but better than going outside to the toilet in the middle of the night. He also slithered the length of the crawl space under the cabin to thread the tubing along, braving possible rabbits, racoons, skunks, and the dread hantavirus. What a devoted hut-builder.

My only complaint was the rooster wake-up call right outside the window at 4 a.m.

Casa Verde

I made pies, went to some therapy appointments, and then we drove over to Casa Verde yesterday and stayed for the night. John had it all tidy, and cooked us tacos for dinner, and eggs and pancakes for breakfast, which we took over to Liz and Alan's to share.
